Dr. Tricia Pharr - Veterinarian

Dr. Tricia Pharr grew up in Northern Michigan and relocated to Pensacola in 1997 to pursue marine biology.

She volunteered with the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge and Stranding Center, assisting with rehabilitation and release of dolphins and whales, as well as turtle nest husbandry along the Gulf Coast. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Florida, she attended Ross University to obtain a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She spent a year of clinical training at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine before practicing in Savannah Georgia for two years.

Dr. Pharr joined Soundside Animal Hospital in 2008. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Management Association, and American Animal Hospital Association. In 2018, Dr. Pharr became certified in veterinary acupuncture (CVA) and studied pet acupuncture at the Chi Institute.

Time spent away from the vet hospital is fulfilled with her beloved family: husband, Chris; two daughters, Saige and Piper; dog, Reef and cat, Cheetah.
